The synthetic resin used in the plastic packaging industry accounts for about 25% of the total output of synthetic resin in the world, and the plastic packaging materials also account for about 25% of the whole packaging materials. These two 25% can fully illustrate the importance of the plastic packaging industry in the global economy.
Bags for the protective purpose of goods can be called packaging. A more precise dynamic definition is: the use of certain materials, forms and technologies can transfer goods from producers to consumers. The means that can completely maintain their use value no matter what environmental conditions are encountered is called packaging.
At the same time of commodity production, we should correctly design and produce good packaging according to the specific object and region of sales, including both inner packaging, that is, sales packaging, and outer packaging, that is, transportation packaging. A good package must meet the following six requirements:
1. It should have a good function of protecting commodities: in any case, (transportation, storage, sales, etc.) can protect commodities from damage, mildew and deterioration.
2. It should have good convenience functions: easy to count, display, open, stack and check, transport and carry.
3. It should have good merchantability, promote sales, attract customers and stimulate customers’ purchase desire: it should have beautiful and exquisite printing patterns and attractive originality in modeling design.
4. It should have the function of concise and comprehensive information transmission. Since the producers of goods cannot meet with consumers directly, they rely on the printing on the packaging as a bridge. Therefore, a good package should have complete information transmission function: commodity name, manufacturer, address, production date, quality assurance, storage and use method, validity period, batch number, composition, trademark, bar code, etc.
5. The price is reasonable. We oppose the insufficient packaging of goods and the excessive packaging of goods.
6. Packaging waste is easy to be recycled or treated to reduce pollution and damage to the environment.
