The main problems of flexible packaging in future development direction (automatic packaging) Episode3

4、 Hot sealing extrusion PE problem
During the heat-sealing process of the composite film, PE is often extruded and stuck to the heat-sealing film. The more it accumulates, the more it affects normal production. At the same time, the extruded PE oxidizes and smokes on the heat-sealing die, giving off peculiar smell. Generally, PE can be extruded by heat sealing by reducing the heat-sealing temperature and pressure, adjusting the formula of the heat-sealing layer, and modifying the heat-sealing film to reduce the pressure at its edge. However, the practice has proved that the best solution is to use the extrusion composite process to produce the composite film, or to improve the speed of the packaging machine, so that PE can not be extruded onto the heat-sealing film in time.

5、 Hot seal piercing and breaking
Puncture refers to the formation of a penetrating hole or crack due to the extrusion of packaging materials by external forces. The causes generally include:

A: The heat-sealing pressure is too high. In the process of heat sealing, if the heat-sealing pressure is too high or the heat-sealing die is not parallel, resulting in excessive local pressure, some fragile packaging materials are often pressed through.

B: The heat-sealing die is rough with edges and corners or foreign matters. The packaging materials are often damaged by the new heat-sealing die with poor manufacturing. Some heat-sealing dies will produce sharp edges and corners after being bumped, which is also very easy to press through the packaging materials.

The main problems of flexible 1

C: The thickness of packaging materials is not selected correctly. Some packaging machines have requirements on the thickness of packaging materials. If the thickness is too large, some parts of the packaging bags may be pressed through. For example, the thickness of the pillow type packaging machine’s packaging material should generally not be greater than 60um. If the packaging material is too thick, the middle seal part of the pillow type packaging is easily broken.

D: The structure of packaging materials is not selected correctly. Some packaging materials have poor pressure resistance and can not be used to package some hard things with edges and corners.

E: The mold design of the package is improper. In the design process, if the mold hole of the heat-sealing die does not conform to the shape and size of the package, and the mechanical strength of the packaging material is not high, it is also easy to press through or fracture the packaging material during the packaging process.
