The packaging film is mainly made by mixing and extruding several polyethylene resins of different kinds. It has puncture resistance, super strength and high performance.
Packaging films are classified into seven categories: PVC, CPP, OPP, CPE, ONY, PET and AL.
1. PVC
It can be used to make packaging film, PVC heat shrinkable film, etc. Application: PVC bottle label.
2. Cast polypropylene film
Cast polypropylene film is a polypropylene film produced by tape casting process. It can also be divided into ordinary CPP and cooking CPP. It has excellent transparency, uniform thickness, and uniform performance in both vertical and horizontal directions. It is generally used as the inner layer material of composite film.
CPP (Cast Polypropylene) is a polypropylene (PP) film produced by cast extrusion process in the plastic industry. Application: It is mainly used for the inner sealing layer of composite film, suitable for the packaging of oil containing articles and cooking resistant packaging.
3. Biaxially oriented polypropylene film
Biaxially oriented polypropylene film is made by co extruding polypropylene particles into sheets, and then stretching in both vertical and horizontal directions.
Application: 1. Mainly used for composite film printing surface. 2. It can be made into pearlescent film (OPPD), extinction film (OPPZ), etc. after special processing.
4. Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE)
Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a saturated polymer material with white powder appearance, non-toxic and tasteless. It has excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance, as well as good oil resistance, flame retardancy and coloring performance.
5. Nylon film (ONY)
Nylon film is a very tough film with good transparency, good luster, high tensile strength, high tensile strength, good heat resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance and organic solvent resistance, good abrasion resistance, puncture resistance, and soft, excellent oxygen resistance；but it has poor water vapor barrier performance, high moisture absorption, moisture permeability, suitable for packaging hard goods, such as greasy food Meat products, fried food, vacuum packaged food, cooking food etc.
Application: 1. It is mainly used for the surface layer and intermediate layer of composite membrane. 2. Oil foods packaging, frozen packaging, vacuum packaging, cooking sterilization packaging.
6. Polyester film (PET)
Polyester film is made of polyethylene terephthalate as raw material, which is extruded into thick sheets and then biaxially stretched.
However, the price of polyester film is relatively high, with a general thickness of 12mm. It is often used as the outer material of cooking packaging, and has good printability.
Applications: 1. Composite film surface printing materials; 2. It can be aluminized.
7. AL (aluminum foil)
Aluminum foil is a kind of packaging material that has not yet been replaced. It is an excellent heat conductor and sunshade.
8. Aluminized film
At present, the most widely used aluminized films mainly include polyester aluminized film (VMPET) and CPP aluminized film (VMCPP). The aluminized film has the characteristics of both plastic film and metal. The role of aluminum coating on the film surface is to block light and prevent ultraviolet radiation, which not only extends the shelf life of the contents, but also improves the brightness of the film. To a certain extent, it replaces aluminum foil, and also has cheap, beautiful and good barrier performance. Therefore, aluminum coating is widely used in composite packaging, mainly used in the outer packaging of dry and puffed food such as biscuits.
